Curry rice 咖喱饭- Bliss Tan Lih Ling


Simple, hassle free, healthy and delicious rice cooker steamed rice (part 11)
即省时省事又健康美味的电饭锅蒸饭(11)
(1) Curry rice 咖喱饭
Ingredients (serves 2)
° 200g rice, washed and drained白米
° 100ml coconut milk椰奶
° 300ml water水
° 1 medium potato, peeled and cut into chunks马铃薯
° king oyster mushrooms( tear into strips and cut into small pieces) or 4-6 vegetarian meats杏鲍菇或素肉
° 1 stalk lemon grass, peel off outer layers leaving tender whitish centre, cut out 7.5cm柠檬草
° 1 tablespoon vegetable oil植物油
° 1-1½ tablespoons vegetarian curry powder素咖喱粉
° 2/3 - 1 tablespoons chilli powder辣椒粉
° ½ teaspoon salt盐
° 10 curry leaves (optional)咖喱叶
° ½ teaspoon sugar (optional)糖
Garnish:
Sprinkle some fennel seeds or coriander if desired.
Method
1. Combine all the ingredients into an electric rice cooker, mix well and turn it on.
Tips:
1. Carrot can also be used to replace king oyster mushrooms or vegetarian meat, if desired.可用胡萝卜代替杏鲍菇或素肉
2. Curry powder and chilli powder can be mixed with a tad of water to form curry paste, fry with one of tablespoon oil and then added to the rice.可将咖喱粉、辣椒粉与少许水搅匀,将此咖喱酱和油翻炒一下,再加入电饭锅,和米一起蒸熟。
