Fragrant Braised Peanut
Braised peanut is another simple dish to make; it tastes good even only eaten with plain rice or porridge. It can also be a delicious appetizer to nibble along while waiting for other dishes to be served. The strong aroma of herbs and spices in this wholesome pot of braised peanut will absolutely boost your appetite!
Ingredients:
300g of peanuts (L size, with skin)
1 bulb of garlic
Seasoning:
1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce
1 piece of red bean curd
1 tablespoon of soybean paste (Taucu)
1/2 tablespoon of sugar
1 whole small star anise
1 small cinnamon stick (optional)
1200 ml of water
Steps:
1. Soak peanuts in warm water for 30 minutes and rinse with water. Wash the garlic bulb
2. In a pot, bring water to a boil, add in the peanuts, garlic and seasonings, cook in high heat for 10 minutes.
3. Turn to low heat and braise for around 2 and a half hours. Turn off the flame and serve.

香卤花生
香卤花生是一道很下饭的菜肴,营养相当高,朋友聚餐叙旧拿来当零食也很好吃,包你吃不停,它口感细嫩软香,不像炸花生米那么容易上火,做法简单!
材料:
花生米(大粒)300克,蒜米1粒
调味料:老抽(深色酱油)1汤匙、南乳1块、豆瓣酱1汤匙、糖半汤匙、八角1小粒、桂皮1小块(随意)、水1200ml
做法:
1、 将带皮的花生米用温水浸泡半小时,洗净。蒜米整粒洗净备用。
2、 预先将水放入煲里煮滚,将所有材料和调味料加入混合开大火煮10分钟。
3、 再转小火卤大概2个小时半左右关火,即可享用。
