Recipe credit to my great sarawak sister Lee Ling Ling
Original Indonesia lapis 
A) 
25 eggs yolk
5 eggs white 
10oz sugar
1 tsp emulsifier
3 tbsp rum (optional)
3oz top flour / cake flour - sift
I tsp baking powder - sift
I tsp spices - sift 
B) 
16oz butter 
Method
Cream ingredients B for 5min leave aside 
Beat eggs white, eggs yolk, emulsifier and sugar till creamy n fluffy
Mix B together with the eggs mixture, then slowly add in the flour, rum and mix well combine 
Preheat oven for 10min at 180'c
Using grill function 
Each layer is about 2 scoops of the batter and grill for 2-3 mins
I am using  a 7 x 10" sq tin 
I using a ladle, spread a thin layer of the mixture onto greased pan and bake until the mixture is done. I using a fork, prick some holes if over cooked mixture to release trapped air and slightly press grimly with a flat greased  spatula or back of a spoon. ( The process must be undertaken after each layer of batter is done to ensure the layers stick together)
